Why Carthage?
“There were many reasons why I chose Carthage. I liked the atmosphere on campus and the smaller class sizes so that I could get to know my professors. I wanted a school where the professors would know me by my name.”
Faculty mentors
“All my Carthage professors have been very supportive, and I appreciate how accessible my professors are when I have questions about their class. They want to see you succeed in school and outside of the classroom.”
Internships or campus employment
“Last spring, I started as the media coordinator for the Kenosha Sportfishing and Conservation Association. It has given me many hand-on experiences directly related to my majors.”
Favorite spot on campus
“My favorite spot on campus is anywhere I can study with a view of the lake!”
Best study tip
“Try and study in an area without distractions — I know it can be easy to get pulled into conversations with your friends. I also like to make flashcards to help me memorize anything that I need to for my classes.”
Best tip for making friends
“As a commuter student, it can sometimes be more challenging to make friends. The best ways to make friends at Carthage is just to get out there and join clubs and organizations that interest you.”
